Bio:

Dr. Star is known for her dedication to excellence in optometric field, having a strong passion for her career and a most genuine concern for her patient's needs. Dr. Star works to to provide exceptionally clear and comfortable vision for her patients, while using the most advanced technology to keep up with the latest revolutions in ocular health-care. After being diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis at 16 months old, Dr. Rostankovski began regular visits with specialists and ophthalmologists, and eventually found herself drawn to the medical profession. Her own experiences gave her an appreciation for a doctor’s listening skills, their bedside manner, and the importance of genuine compassion toward their patient’s care. Dr. Star Rostankovski was borh and raised in Northwest, Indiana. She earned her BA in Medical Health Sciences, with a minor in Biology and Psychology at Purdue University. While attending Purdue, she participated in extensive microbiology lab research involving genetics, working with Harvard Ph.D. graduate Dr. C. Das to find a link to, and potential cure for, Alzheimer’s disease. Dr Star Rostankovski then earned her Doctor of Optometry from Indiana University School of Optometry and relocated to Pensacola after she discovered thish beautiful beach town during an Optometric externship at the Gulf Coast VA.   As an optometrist, Dr. Rostankovski performs only the most thorough Comprehensive eye exams using only state of the art technology incluiding an all digital exam lane, Retinal Camera with OCT technology, Visual Field equipment, and more. Using the most up to date technology Dr. Rostankovski prides herself in preventing long-term and permanant vision loss through early detection of disease and consistent management of eye disorders. Outside of work, Dr. Rostankovski enjoys swimming, paddle boarding, and going to the beach with her dog, Brock. Her office accepts most insurance and is a VSP Premier Provider.
