Christopher Tumolo O.D., L.D.O. is a highly skilled optometric physician and licensed optician who specializes in addressing difficult prescriptions, severe refractive error conditions, prism evaluations, and hard-to-fit contact lenses. He is also well-versed in treating dry eye disease with medical eye drops such as Restasis, Xiidra, and Cequa, as well as punctal occlusion therapy (punctal plugs). With over 22 years of experience as a licensed optician, Dr. Tumolo has extensive knowledge of progressive lens technology, fitting, and measurements. He utilizes this expertise to prescribe the best lens and frame options that cater to each patient's unique prescription. Additionally, Dr. Tumolo is an expert in ocular foreign body removal, multifocal contact lens fits, monovision contact lens fits, and astigmatism contact lens fits. Growing up in the Tampa Bay Area, Dr. Tumolo worked as a Licensed Dispensing Optician, teaching fellow opticians optics and lensometry. He continued his education in optometry school, where he completed his training and earned his doctoral degree. Dr. Tumolo is passionate about providing his patients with the highest level of eye care and is committed to dissolving the formal barriers that can inhibit doctor-patient interaction. Through his practice, Beyond 2020 Vision Specialists, Dr. Tumolo aims to deliver a personalized and specialized examination experience that incorporates both modern examination technologies and a personal touch. He takes pride in walking his patients through every step of the examination, educating and explaining to them all the details of the eye and their refractive conditions. When he's not working, Dr. Tumolo enjoys spending time with his Jack Russell terrier, Bruna, and engaging in activities such as kickboxing, MMA, working out, sports cars, and drawing. Dr. Tumolo's office accepts most insurances and is a VSP Premier Provider.
