Independent Doctor of Optometry

Bio:

Dr. Marlos Begeny-Mahan received her Bachelors in Microbiology and Chemistry from the University of Miami and her Doctorate in Optometry from Ohio State University. In addition to routine eye health exams, her office specializes in contact lens fittings and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT). Growing up with a very strong eyeglass prescription, Dr. Begeny-Mahan became interested in the optical industry at a young age. Her original career goal was to become an astronaut, but vision problems prevented her from being an Air Force pilot. She had such an appreciation for good vision that she changed her career path and became an eye doctor. When Dr. Begeny-Mahan is not in the office, she enjoys long distance bike rides with her husband, also an optometrist, reading a great mystery book, crafts and cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes as she has 2 boys that are graduates of the University. Dr. Begeny-Mahan’s office accepts most vision insurance and is a VSP Premier Provider.
