Independent Doctor of Optometry

Bio:

Dr. Tabinda Shah received her Bachelor’s degree in pre-optometry/Spanish Literature and History with a minor in Medical Ethics from Kent State University in Kent ,Ohio, before beginning Optometry School at the Ohio State University. She received training at Chalmer's P. Wylie Veterans Hospital and the Ohio State University Medical Center's Havener Eye Institute. In addition to routine and medical eye exams, because she has a young son who is moderately nearsighted at a young age, her office offers services on slowing the progression of myopia in kids and teens as well as variety of options for contact lens fitting including RGP contact lenses. Her office provides these services in English, Urdu/Hindi, and Spanish. Dr Shah became an eye doctor due to an interest in physics and optics during her pre-health care studies. She had the opportunity to work with her childhood optometrist and was able to experience first-hand how exciting it was to help others see better. She also worked as a vision therapist and saw how it made a difference in a child's ability to see and focus better in school. In her free time, she enjoys travel and spending time with her family
