Bio:

Dr. Kimberly Bertrand is originally from Dallas and grew up in the Lake Highlands area. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology with a minor in Chemistry from Brigham Young University. She went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston, graduating magna cum laude. She was also a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honors International Optometric Honor Society and received five Letters of Clinical Excellence during her clinical rotations. Dr. Bertrand practiced at a prominent ophthalmology group in Houston for 14 years. During her time there, she specialized in comprehensive eye exams, managed ocular diseases, and provided post-surgical co-management for LASIK and cataract procedures. Dr. Bertrand is excited to be back in her home town and practicing at SEC. She has a passion for diagnosing and treating ocular surface diseases such as dry eye syndrome, as well as other related inflammatory conditions. Dr. Bertrand comes from a medical family. Her father is an OB/GYN at Presbyterian Hospital and she has three sisters who are nurses in Dallas. In her free time, she enjoys going to parks with her chi poodle and spending time with her family and friendsDr. Bertrand’s office accepts most insurances and is a VSP Premier Provider.
