Independent Doctor of Optometry

Bio:

Dr. Eddy Sidra was raised in Canada and attended the University of Alberta (UAlberta) for his undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Science. He was then recruited to play professional soccer in Europe and for the Canadian National Team before returning to complete his education at UAlberta and pursue optometry. He completed his Doctorate of Optometry degree at the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, TX. Dr. Sidra provides comprehensive wellness eye exams, as well as medical exams for conditions including glaucoma, retinal diseases, dry eye, diabetes, hypertension, and cataracts. He commonly treats eye diseases and issues including glaucoma, infections, foreign body removal, corneal ulcers and abrasions, and other ocular issues. He also co-manages surgical cases such as LASIK, ICL, cataracts, and various other surgical procedures. Dr. Sidra enjoys educating himself on the latest evidence based treatments and procedures and has acquired advanced skills in scleral contact lens fitting while practicing in San Antonio. Dr. Sidra is excited to call Fort Worth his new home in efforts to be close to family. Outside of Optometry, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and daughters, playing sports, traveling, hiking, and reading. He is close with his Coptic Orthodox Christian faith and values involvement in church activities and investing in the youth. Through his life experiences and roots, Dr. Sidra has been exposed to diverse cultures allowing him to be multilingual in English, Arabic, German, and is currently working on his Spanish. Dr. Sidra’s office accepts most vision insurance and is a VSP Premier provider
