Bio:
Dr. Bao-Tran Nguyen received her therapeutic optometry and optometric glaucoma certifications from the University of Houston, College of Optometry, and graduated with honors in 2002. She then completed her ocular disease and pathology clinical externship at St. Joseph Hospital. Her rotations there gave her valuable insights on how to diagnose and effectively manage various eye diseases. She learned that treating the eye is not an independent step but a comprehensive approach which may involve teamwork from other healthcare specialists. Dr. Nguyen did her second externship in primary eyecare at various community clinics which served low income families. In her spare time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys weight lifting, traveling, reading, spending time with her two children and exploring the great state of Texas. Dr. Nguyen’s office accepts most vision insurance and is a VSP Premier provider
