Bio:

Dr. Phung developed a deep interest in vision care from a young age. She started her passion by earning a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from University of North Florida, where she gained a strong foundation in biology and cultivated curiosity about the intricate workings of the human eyes. Following the completion of undergraduate studies, Dr. Phung received her Magna Cum Laude doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2022. During her time at the optometry school, Dr. Phung was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa and all 4 years received full scholarships based on her academic performance. In her 4th year of clinical rotations at two community eye clinics in DFW area, Dr. Phung received hands on training in the diagnosis and management of various ocular diseases, as well as extensive experience in fitting specialty contact lenses. Dr. Phung is licensed as both a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is also an active member of the Texas Optometric Association (TOA). Dr. Phung enjoys educating patients about their eye conditions and taking her time to get to know her patients and their professions to better understand their visual needs. Born and raised in Vietnam, Dr. Phung is the first generation college graduate. She is happy to call DFW Complex her second home where she can give back to the profession and the community. In her free time, Dr. Phung likes to spend her time trying new baking recipes and exploring different hiking trails in DFW area. Her office accepts most insurance plans and is a VSP Premier Provider.
